Muldendamm cycle track and footpath

The cycle track and footpath along the banks of the Mulde are fascinating both from a nature and from a culture perspective. This scenic route runs the entire length of the river bank from where the Mulde enters the city to where it leaves. The Muldendamm is ideal for walking, cycling, jogging, long-distance hiking or simply relaxing.

The section that runs through Zwickau is part of a much longer national cycle path covering a distance of 268 kilometres from the Erzgebirge to Bad Düben. Starting from the Muldendamm, hikers and especially pilgrims can walk the 30km Jakobsweg, which forms part of the Saxon Route of St James, and the Zwickauer Lutherweg (Martin Luther Trail), which is an urban extension of the Saxon Martin Luther Trail.
