GGZ Arena

On 6th February 2015, the ground-breaking ceremony for the GGZ Arena took place for a major construction project in the Eckersbach district of Zwickau, namely a new home ground for the local football team, FSV Zwickau. The first match was played on 20th August 2016, a DFB cup fixture against HSV of Hamburg. The stands are all covered and have a total capacity of 10,134, of which 6,363 are seats and 3,771 standing places. In addition to office space for the club itself, the GGZ Arena also has a business suite with meeting rooms which can be hired for company events as well as for private parties. It is owned by GGZ (Gebäude- und Grundstücksgesellschaft Zwickau mbH).

 
The GGZ Arena fulfills the DFB guidelines of the 3rd division.
