Rail transport

Rail transport offers excellent connections to the surrounding economic areas with the S-Bahn Mitteldeutschland, the Sachsen-Franken-Magistrale and the Vogtlandbahn towards the Czech Republic.

Thanks to the connection to the S-Bahn network, you can reach the IC/ICE railway station in Leipzig every hour with the S 5X line in a journey time of only 1:18 h; Leipzig/Halle Airport in 1:31 h.

The hourly fast regional express trains (line RE 3) on the Sachsen-Franken-Magistrale take only 31 minutes to Chemnitz central station, 1:34 h to Dresden central station, 1:04 h to Hof central station and (with a change in Hof) just under 3 hours to Nuremberg central station.
